Hmmmm

I've been working on some of the links in the posts. For some reason - they're not working like they were before. Please contact me if you're looking for information on anyone buried at Mountain View.

Thank You.

Updating Entries

I have started uploading census pages to another site. I will be linking the people in the cemetery to their enumerations in the census. You will be able to see their families and neighbors there. Once you go to the census page you will be able to view and enlarge the images there.

Mountain View Cemetery, Bridger, Montana

Click on photos to open in a larger window.

Here's a link for the location of the cemetery.

From Highway 310 - head east on Pryor Mountain Road. You can see the pine trees surrounding the cemetery to the north. It's about .08 of a mile. There's a green gate, but today it was open. Keep in mind that you will be going through a pasture up to the cemetery. There may be cattle grazing, or it may be being irrigated. If the gate from the road is closed when you arrive, please close it behind you.

I turned my car around and walked to the cemetery gate.

This Plot Map was drawn in 1971.

It shows an entrance and an exit to the cemetery. There is only one gate there now - where the entrance was shown on the map. Today the gate was locked at the bottom with a chain. There is another chain at the top of the gate which can be opened - with room to squeeze through.
